Sometimes, you walk into a room and feel the difference.
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending Iftar with Epicon, a new family office community launched by Sophia Moulin.
Five hours of dinner, networking, and great speakers reinforced a simple truth—success is about who you surround yourself with.
Sophia brought together a room full of investors and family offices freely sharing insights and opportunities.
No desperate selling.
No cult-like clapping and dancing (I’ve seen that before).
Just genuine conversations that lead to real opportunities.
I caught up with one of my closest friends, whose 75-year-old family office has grown from post-World War II Europe to global offices in Dubai, Singapore, and beyond—now expanding into India.
I met a CFO from Colorado whose tech can detect a concealed weapon before someone even enters a building. We later realized he used to work five blocks from where I grew up.
I saw another person with a medical app.. the app that takes cares of you in the days and weeks between on average 15 minute doctor appointments.
And an engineer with whom I crossed paths back in Lesbos in 1988.
Everywhere I turned, the same reaction—this event was different.
What an amazing event and group of people.
So congrats to Sophia for making it happen.
And more importantly, here’s to what happens next—when genuine connections turn into real results
