It’s not a 10 day sprint, but I wanted to quickly share some tactics that could be a gamechanger to drive growth and save time.
Streamline Processes
Sometimes we get caught up doing things the way we always have, so get out of any rut by finding processes where you can do things more efficiently. Stepping back and cutting out the waste can save us a ton of time.
For example, a local plumber leaves the 19th century and subscribes to an app that schedules appointments and does field management. Now his appointments are streamlined, he can avoid double bookings and keep track of team members in real-time, all on his phone.
Delegate like a real boss
Delegating tasks is key to freeing up your time and energy. Make sure you’re delegating the right tasks to the right people, and have a solid strategy in place.
If you’re a small business owner, it’s tempting to do everything yourself to save money. But it’s actually costing you a lot more. Instead, if you delegate tasks such as social media management or bookkeeping to a virtual assistant, you can free up your time to focus on activities to grow your business, such as acquiring new customers or designing a better mousetrap.
Outsource the ….
Outsource the tasks you should not be doing: Outsourcing tasks that aren’t our forte can be a total game-changer for both our business and mental health. For example, imagine an excellent graphic designer who sucks at copywriting.
Why spend hours writing copy for a client’s website, when he could outsource that task to a professional copywriter and free his time to take on more clients and websites? Not only can he handle more clients but he can deliver a much better product.
Check in with yourself regularly:
Your goals and priorities might change as your business grows. Take some time every 6 months to reassess and make sure you’re on the right track. For example, a coffee shop owner might reassess the breakfast menu and identify what’s not selling. They can replace underperformers with more popular options and increase their sales.
Use data to your advantage:
Related to the point above. Make sure you look at KPIs and data to see what’s working and what’s not. Don’t use your rear end to pull things out of as your business strategy. Measure and track.
Whether it’s customer lifetime value or something like Google Analytics to track the popularity of your blogs. You can use this data to create more content that resonates with your audience and drive more traffic and sales.
I hope these tactics help you. Remember, working smarter, not harder, is key.
