Rules and contracts didn’t really apply to him… only for the suckers who worked for him.
You see Giles was charming.
He could sell sand in a desert and knew it.
And so he could charm many clients – especially the younger ones who got a high that they were being taken care by the CEO.
Giles competed against his own sales team.
Told them how useless they were and how he would get deals done for his clients that they would need to execute but the bonus was all his.
He rode them hard… not to make them better but because he enjoyed the power it gave him.
His people left.. first one by one and then entire teams.
He would replace them as they went but get tied up in legal disputes that he would constantly lose.
Then he found some like him who also liked to cut corners and gave him the keys to the kingdom.
And this star prince doubled his business in 3 years
The warnings piled up. Then one morning, the call came — an investigation.
Overnight, the swagger turned to silence.
Giles and the business survived… the superstar employee not so much.
Today Giles has a respectable small 8 figure business.
But here is something interesting…
The people who left?
