I’m overseas and I’ve had the amazing experience of getting to try to get through the customer service at my merchant accounts bank.
In a nutshell I have sent several emails detailing instructions on how they can reach me while I am overseas.
It includes the novel idea of calling an international number.
Instead my phone has been subject to dozens of missed calls on the roaming number instead of the number I provided.
I will not pay a fortune for people who cannot follow simple instructions.
And I know they have the ability to call overseas as they are a major global bank.
In reality is just a symptom of how banks treat their customers.
And it’s why you don’t want to run your business like a bank.
You see banks see customer service as a cost and they often outsource the entire customer experience to some call centre where the people are poorly paid had hardly incentivised to provide excellent service.
And so you deal with the ridiculous situation of a standoff between a customer and the bank because the bank refuses to follow a simple instruction that would make life easier for both parties.
There is a better way.
Very shortly I’ll be releasing a new free course that allows you to stop competing on price and start competing and winning on providing a superior customer experience.
Until then, please treat your customers better than the bank.

P.S. I work with information-based service business owners who started the business to have a better life, only to find themselves falling short and then getting frustrated by the broken promises and lack of results when they sought help elsewhere.
That’s when they find me and I show them exactly what path to take when investing their time and money in their business, so they can live the life they want.
We do it through 1;1 consultations, group master round tables and workshops and other collaborations whose insights are 100% tailored to them and which can easily be implemented.
But don’t take my word for it, find out more by clicking here to check out our different services and resources.
