“You know you need to fire her.. right?”

“But she’s nearly half my revenue…”

“True and she’s killing you and your business by a thousand gashes.. not cuts..”

“How will I plug in that hole?”

“We already talked about it….”

When Rebecca orginally came to me she was stressed that she was overwhelmed and could not scale her business.

She was recently divorced and was balancing raising her 10 year old son with trying to grow her business to pay the rent and keep a roof over head.

It was during our initial discussions where she began to tell me about Nora.

Nora her big client.

Who would message her at midnight telling her:

  • “I’m putting my whole business on your back and I don’t like the ads you’re running..”
  • “When I message you ..I expect a call back within an hour..” – that was a beauty on Sunday.
  • “I need a discount..” every month after a complaint directly to her staff belittling them…

Nora was driving Rebecca’s staff to burnout and even a couple recently quit.

So I asked Rebecca 3 key questions…

“Do you remember your answers to those 3 questions I asked you?”

Rebecca smiled

“Ok I know what I need to do…”

 

Rebecca called me last week. 

“Yesterday, I went to my boy’s first Sports Day at School and didn’t think about work!  Thank you so much..”

Why was she so much at ease?

Because she not only fired Nora and removed that toxic client from her life, but with the time and capacity she freed, she was able to bring 3 new clients who were more professional and profitable.

Rebecca had taken her first steps back from the day to day grind…

And life was getting better…
