Being a business owner can be lonely.
Often your friends and family who do not run businesses have no clue as to the challenges and mental up and downs that come from running your business.
It often turns everything on its head.
You end up working harder than anyone else in the business, but you pay yourself last – and sometimes not at all if the cash flow is delayed and you have to make payroll.
And so it can be a lonely experience but that does not mean you have to be alone.
You can join other business owners in groups and clubs all over the world.
Collaborate, share ideas, and sometimes just talk.
For example, when I had some financial difficulties, I reached out to my Mastermind group and was amazed by how many millionaires in the room shared their personal stories of previous failures and bankruptcy.
It gave me hope, practical tools to manage my situation and most importantly the knowledge that I was not alone and was not some sort of special moron.
And the insight that I could have saved myself a world of hurt and anxiety by reaching out earlier.
Yesterday I was on a call with a very successful business owner from Canada.
