During my MBA studies in the University of Chicago we learned about “sawing the floor”.
This was a competitive advantage concept where you take on a much bigger competitor by finding an angle or niche he is neglecting and exploiting it as a “beachhead”.
You take control of that niche and use it to “saw a hole” under the competitor who often doesn’t realise what’s happening before the floor gives out and they are tumbling into the garbage heap.
It’s a strategy I used successfully to launch million-dollar institutional trading desks in both London and Dubai.
And it’s a strategy that can be used by almost any small business once they know the core desires of their target market and how to create the solution and effectively communicate it to get their business.
It’s simple in concept but requires clarity and dedicated focus to execute it.
Which we will discuss in greater detail in our upcoming profit and Dine series.
Look out for our next Profit and Dine series which will be scheduled on 2 dates – one live in Dubai and one online for anyone in the world (absent the dining aspect).
Details to follow in the next few days.

P.S. I work with service business owners who started the business to have a better life, only to find themselves falling short and then getting frustrated by the broken promises and lack of results when they sought help elsewhere.
That’s when they find me and I show them exactly what path to take when investing their time and money in their business, so they can live the life they want.
We do it through 1;1 consultations, group master round tables and workshops and other collaborations whose insights are 100% tailored to them and which can easily be implemented.
But don’t take my word for it, find out more by clicking here to check out our different services and resources.
