“Hi George, thanks for the workshop (it was the profit and dine differentiation one). It was really informative but what can I ask my customers to find out better what makes me stand out?”

Hi Tony,
Start by getting into the heart of why they hired you and want to keep you on board.
Here are two questions you can ask them;
- From your persective…what is my ‘killer App? What do you come to me to get resolved? Where do you see me offering superior value compared to others?
- What makes me different from others offering ‘similar’ products, services, or value?
Your instructions here are to listen to what they are telling you and not try to defend, rationalise, or argue back.
For example, when I asked a company that arranges foreign residency and passport series this question.. they went from a mindset that they only offered a commodity to the realisation that they only take on clients who they truly feel they can complete the job.
This led to clients not paying if the results weren’t achieved.
Their guarantee was a total game changer since their competitors were still charging clients even if they didn’t get results.
