This week wasn’t random.

It was about understanding what you’re really selling. And having the spine to protect it.

We started with the dog grooming story.

On the surface, she groomed dogs. In reality, she sold proximity.

Her clients weren’t paying for a haircut for Fluffy. They were paying to be seen. To belong. To move in circles where successful men show up. The grooming was just the entry ticket.

If you misunderstand the real desire behind your product, you’ll build it wrong, market it wrong, and price it wrong.

And pricing was the theme of the next post.

That uncomfortable moment when you quote a number and feel embarrassed saying it out loud.

You flinch. Apologise. Sweat through the awkward silence with a strong instinct to soften it.

Here’s the truth: if you’re embarrassed by your price, your customer will be too.

Confidence transfers. So does doubt.

If what you offer genuinely changes lives, builds wealth, saves time, removes chaos… then discounting it because you feel awkward isn’t humility.

It’s self-sabotage.

Then we looked at killing the golden goose.

Specifically, chasing the crack pipe hit of quick revenue.

Like addicts who rob their families for the next fix, you see businesses sacrifice their most loyal and lucrative customers for a shiny short-term dollar.

Different doses but the same clown act:

Small revenue grabs. Parking fees. Extra charges. Nickel and dime thinking.

All leading to short-term highs at the expense of long-term erosion of your most valuable asset: your best customer segments.

And finally… The Godfather.

“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”

I hear that line every time a business owner tries to do the right thing but finds it uncomfortable. So they make one small compromise. Then another. Then another.

Until the business that was supposed to give them freedom becomes the thing that traps them.

The Pattern Trap

If you don’t understand what you’re really selling… If you don’t believe in what you charge… If you trade long-term value for short-term relief… If you compromise one small decision at a time…

You wake up owning a job. Not an asset.
