Yesterday I told you about Frank, the best employee his own company ever had.
And guess what?
Frank was not a failure.
Until he got trapped, everything he had done was a success. He started and launched a business that fed his family and paid the mortgage.
He was “optimising” it according to a hustling playbook, and he was very good at it.
He made it faster and more responsive. But he was the only one who could step in and fix things as they broke. So the wins quietly became losses, because the business grew more and more dependent on him.
He was optimising for one thing and missing the second, the one that makes all the difference. Nobody ever taught him to optimise for it. It is rarely taught anywhere.
So owners like Frank miss it, pour everything into the first thing, and end up burned out and buried.
That is why trying harder will not get you out of this. The effort is not the solution. The effort is the cause. The harder you work, the more the business leans on you, and the tighter the knot pulls.
So if effort is not the way out, what is?
On Monday, I am showing you one of the most important videos from End Burnout, completely free. In about five minutes, I walk you through the single shift that ends the burnout and starts unlocking the value you have built. And at the end, you can see exactly where you stand.
Before then, one question, and I would genuinely like your answer. What would actually break if you disappeared for 30 days?
