Then, there are people who live to bury themselves in solving every little crisis that comes within reach.  This, actually, is something the majority of business owners wind up doing… You’re standing still, too busy fixing stuff to get ahead…Not Good for the Bottom Line

  • John Carlton

This quote reminded me of a Boston concert I went to in 1986 with friends from high school.

It had poured all night, and when we got back to the car, we were stuck in thick Wisconsin mud.

We gunned the engine.
The wheels spun.
And mud covered everything — and we didn’t move.

What we needed was traction.

What we got was the car rocking back and forth..

We didn’t get out until we stopped, reassessed, and did the work to dig ourselves free.

That’s how most business owners operate — stuck, busy, spinning.
Covered in chaos, convinced they’re “hustling.”

But they’re not moving.

Busy ≠ progress.
Busy ≠ wealth.

And it sure as hell doesn’t build a business that’s worth anything to someone else one day.

So the question is:

Are you getting anywhere?
Or just spinning the wheels?
