This morning was another stand-off.
My 4-year-old stood frozen in front of her wardrobe, paralyzed by the life-or-death decision of… which dress to wear.
Tears. Screams. Existential crisis.
And all before 8 a.m.
It only ended when I gave her two options and a deadline. “Pick in 60 seconds, or you’re staying home and watching me work.”
Boom. Decision made. Peace restored.
And it reminded me why I love school uniforms.
Uniforms = no decision fatigue.
Uniforms = consistency, structure, and speed.
Uniforms = systems.
Now ask yourself this:
Do you have “uniforms” in your business — or is every morning an outfit crisis?
Because whether you realise it or not, you already have systems in place.
They’re either:
- Systems that solve problems before they start…
- Or systems of chaos that keep you stuck making the same damn decisions on repeat.
Businesses with real systems?
They grow.
They scale.
They sell.
They give your kids something they might actually want to inherit.
Or hand a buyer something they’d pay a premium to own.
Businesses without systems?
You already know what those mornings look like.
Want help building the “uniforms” your business needs to run without you?
In Q4, I’m working directly with a small group of founders to systemise, scale, and prepare their business for sale — or succession.
